    Step 1: Press the * key and the 3 key at the same time until the display reads "DIAGNOSTICS"
    Step 2: Press the 2 key to do a key test. Press each key starting from the * key from left to right all 16 keys. The numbers or characters should display on the screen if keys are working properly.

    Step 3: Press the 3 key to do a display test. Characters will begin to flash across the screen and you will be able to determine if the display is working properly.

    Step 4: Press the 4 key to do a card reader test. The display will show "SWIPE CARD". Swipe your credit card and the display should show the credit card numbers if working properly.

    Testing Procedures


    Step 1: Clear Terminal Memory-Press the * & clear key at the same time. When prompted for the password,press 8 alpha, 0 alpha, 8 alpha, 5361041 alpha, and then press Enter. Display will read "SUCCESSFUL"

    Step 2: Press Enter, 0 (zero), enter and you will be prompted for the download phone number. If it is necessary to dial 9 before the telephone number is dialed from your location, press 9,, and then input the telephone number and press Enter.

    Step 3: You will be prompted for the terminal ID next. It may display SERIAL NUMBER? on the screen- this does not mean the serial number printed on the bottom of the terminal. Enter the Terminal ID and press Enter.

    Step 4: You will be prompted for the Application name next. Normally the application name is a combination of letters and numbers. You will need to use the alpha key to change the numerical numbers into letters. ( i.e.- Press 1 and then alpha 2 times to select a Z). Enter the application name and press enter. Terminal will automatically dial out and begin downloading. When it is in progress you will see flat lines across the screen, which will turn into *'s as the terminal progresses. It will display DOWNLOAD COMPLETE when finished.
